HEY.

These pages and documents are for you. They contain all the information you need. Ignore them at your peril.

How to get your degree report.

The most important thing you have available to you is your degree report from My.SC.edu. It has everything about your degree progress.

Log in to my.sc.edu Under "Student Records" select "Academic Transcript."

Bring a printout of this to your advising meeting. Read it and bring specific questions you may have.

Yes. I can look at your transcript on my computer. And I will. But the important thing is that YOU have looked at and understand your own transcript.

MY.SC.EDU

If you have ever registered for classes or done anything at USC, it's different starting now. All the information about this is at MY.SC.EDU.

Course Listings

It always surprises me how many students come to be advised without even having looked to see what's being offered! When you login to my.sc.edu, you'll be able to access the course schedule for the next semester.

Advising Guidelines

This document has everything. What counts as a humanities course? What counts as a cognate? What counts for cultural overlays? IT'S ALL HERE. (I got this link from the current Undergrad FAQ.)

Course Bulletins

Your degree is here. Read it. UNDERSTAND IT. Make sure you are looking at the degree bulletin for the year you began college. You can scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose "Bulletin Archives" to find your exact degree.

Who is your advisor?

Your faculty advisor is listed on VIP or on my.sc.edu. After your initial freshman or transfer advising, you should be assigned a faculty advisor. If this hasn't happened (you can tell, because your advisor will be listed as P MART), contact Lauren Chapman in the Art Department office (803-777-8179).
